Retractable Fences?

Having a pool at your home is both a luxury and a safety concern. And for years, home owners with pools have sought the balance between enjoying their outdoor pool and keeping young children, pets and other safe from accidental drowning.

Lots of people are searching for retractable pool fences however we never seen such a thing. At least we’ve never seen anything that is safe enough to protect your children. Removable pool fences is what you really need and we can tell you why. First and foremost they are the safest! Secondly you can take these pool fences down when the occasion calls for it. Not everyone has young children around their pools at all times such as grandparents or other adults who do not have children of their own. We generally trust older teens and adults around pools and feel confident in their basic pool safety skills whereas young children need the protection of fences.

Finally, even people with children who own pools find a need to remove a fence from time to time, like for special events. During a wedding, graduation party or other celebrations, a fence around a pool can become a nuisance. Always be sure to keep children away from the pool or have a lifeguard posted, though, if children will be present at the event.

Sadly, we haven’t yet seen a retractable pool fence on the market yet. The best alternative is a mesh fence with a self-closing and self-latching gate. Like the much sought after retractable fence, mesh fences go up and come down with relative ease allowing you free access to your pool when you need it and safety at other times.

Pool safety will always be of concern for those with pools in their homes. While we wait for the magical retractable fence to come on the market, a mesh pool fence with a self-closing and self-latching gate can provide the same flexibility, reliability and safety.
