Mesh Options

Choose the right mesh for your safety and visibility needs

Our Mesh

premier mesh

Premier Mesh

Our most transparent mesh, which is custom-manufactured to our specifications to maximize mesh transparency, durability, and strength. It is characterized by five strands by five strands per square inch weave, and is available in black, brown, and green.

Guardtex Mesh

Guardtex Mesh

Our Guardtex mesh is more tightly molded than our Standard mesh. It is characterized by ten strands by ten strands per square inch weave which still provides excellent transparency. Offered as a more affordable alternative to our Standard mesh, our Guardtex mesh is available in black.

pet mesh

Pet Mesh

Our extremely durable pet mesh is thicker than our Standard and Guardtex meshes. It is characterized by eleven strands by sixteen strands per square inch weave. However, when used in combination with our Premier fence poles, it provides a proven effective barrier against all types and sizes of pets. It is available in black.

Mesh made from premier and Guardtex mesh, will keep children and pets out of the pool.

Along with this durability and the highest standards of safety, a mesh pool fence from Guardian is also aesthetically pleasing. We use a transparent mesh that is unclimbable and less obtrusive than other fences.

The entire system is also easy to take down and move, should you find yourself moving on to a new neighborhood. Just because the fence systems are portable, do not worry about longevity. Guardian mesh pool fencing is built to last. The aluminum and stainless steel poles will not break and the powder coating prevents them from rusting too. We also give you a lifetime warranty against sun, wind, and rain.

    FAQ

You should only choose the Original Pool Fence if your pool deck already has 1 ¼ inch diameter holes drilled into it from an older, previous fence installation. The Original uses 1 inch diameter poles specifically designed to fit those existing holes. If you have a brand new deck with no holes, go with the Premier system.

Choose the No Holes system if you are renting, if you absolutely refuse to drill into your pool deck, or if you only need a fence temporarily. It relies on heavy, water-filled bases for stability. If you want a standard, permanent fixture and don’t mind drilling, stick to the Premier.

Black mesh is the most transparent. It sounds counterintuitive, but black absorbs light, making it the easiest to see through so you can keep an eye on the water. Brown is a good choice if you want to blend into an earthy landscape, and gray works for modern designs, but black gives you the absolute best visibility.

A 4-foot (48-inch) fence is the standard for keeping small children out of the pool area. You should upgrade to the 4.5-foot (54-inch) fence if your local building codes specifically require a taller barrier, or if you have larger, athletic dogs that might jump a standard fence.

Yes. If you skip the gate, you have to manually unhook the fence sections every time you want to enter the pool, which is a massive hassle. Our gates automatically close and lock behind you, ensuring the area is easily accessible for you but securely closed off when not in use.

Yes, but it depends on the model. Our Premier Pool Fence features a patented locking deck sleeve that meets the strict requirements of many local municipal building codes. However, you need to check your local requirements to see if it is approved in your area.

Standard mesh can be damaged by aggressive pets, but our specialized Pet Mesh is built specifically to stop this. It features a heavy-duty 11×16 weave that stands up to scratching and chewing from smaller and medium sized dogs. However larger and more aggressive dogs might be able to penetrate the mesh.

Our Premier Pool Fence is the strongest system we make. It uses marine-grade 6063 T6 aluminum poles reinforced with PVC and secured to a 1/2-inch stainless steel rod.

Yes, we offer systems designed for DIY installation. However, because proper mesh tension and precise deck drilling are critical for safety, we highly recommend professional installation for our Premier and Original systems.

Yes. All of our mesh pool fence systems are 100% removable. You can easily release the tension, pull the poles out of their sleeves, and roll the fence up for storage when it is not needed.

    Keep In Mind

A good barrier fencing can help, but the best protection is to completely surround the pool with four-sided isolation fencing with a self-closing and self-latching gate. The Red Cross reports that a four-sided fence separating a pool from the yard and house reduces a child’s risk of drowning by 83%.
