Company with a history and a mission

pool safety fence protects child image If customer satisfaction is any indication of things yet to come, removable fencing will play a significant role in swimming pool safety for years to come.

Guardian Pool Fence Systems incorporated in January 1995 and started shipping products to its dealer network two months later.

Since March 1995, the Los Angeles, California based company has sold over 50,000 of its patented, removable, self-closing and key-locking pool gates while producing and shipping hundreds of thousands of feet of removable mesh fencing.

The U.S. Patent Office doesn't pass out patents easily. Guardian had to demonstrate the uniqueness and  reliability of this pool safety gate. Our patent was granted in September 1997. Guardian invented the ORIGINAL  REMOVABLE self closing gate on the market. Ten years later this gate still has no equal.

No other product on the market today offers the level of safety, versatility, practicality and protection found in Guardian Pool Fence Systems.

"Homeowners love the look of their custom fence designs -- and that they’re still in total control of their backyards," Guardian's founder Steve Sadinsky says.

The dealer network built by Guardian extends across the United States and into Canada, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and the European Union, including France, Spain, Portugal and England We have shipped this product as far away as Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Cyprus, Singapore and South Africa. Guardian and its trained pool fencing dealers have done tens of thousands of installations worldwide!

Meet Steve Sadinsky

Steve Sadinsky, the president and CEO of Guardian Pool Fence Systems, has been involved with removable-mesh pool fencing since 1988. Steve's wife was pregnant and the couple had a swimming pool in the backyard. Their kidney-shaped pool was only 5 feet from a sliding door to the house. He found himself facing the same kinds of problems and concerns that his new customers grapple with today.

As a California licensed general and plumbing contractor in California, in 1988 he started the search for a pool safety solution, even though he'd never handled this sort of problem. The more he investigated, the more he realized that his situation was far from simple.

An automatic cover would protect the pool, but it also would cover up about 40% of their usable deck space. Taking out trash via the back door would require walking OVER the cover!

Steve's other option was a wrought-iron fence. The electrical code required metal fencing to be at least 5 feet from the pool edge. But he had only had 5 feet to the door! The fence would not protect the main entrance to the backyard, nor would it allow enough yard space for their child to play.

When Steve discovered removable pool fencing, it solved each and every problem. Following the pool shape all the way around the perimeter (24" from the edge), the fence kept his child from getting near the water; allowed plenty of room to use the pool in comfort; and left the entire backyard for the family's use.

When taking out the trash Steve didn't have to touch the fence, so there were no worries about leaving the fence open. No one had to touch the fence unless they were going to use the pool -- PERIOD! That's as safe as you can make a swimming pool!

Since then, Guardian's dealer network has done tens of thousands of pool safety fence installations around the world.

"The majority of these were specifically designed to provide security around swimming pools," Steve says. "Occasionally, we are called on to protect ravines, seawalls, canyons or tackle other special projects.

"We even installed a fence at a Sunday school to keep the toddlers away from the older kids while their parents prayed in church!"

But, Steve insists, “Our main focus is swimming pool protection for children -- and it always will be."
